Al Qaeda suspect arrested on Mallorca

A man from Cuba resident in Cala Ratjada-Capdepera, Mallorca, has been arrested by the Civil Guard for alleged links to Al Qaeda.
The Interior Ministry names the suspect as J.E.F.M. and says he has undergone, ‘a process of radicalisation in recent years’.
He has been under investigation since last year, under the supervision of the National Court. The charges against him include membership of a terrorist organisation, trying to recruit for Al Qaeda and indoctrination.

The Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday that the Cuban has uploaded more than one thousand ‘radical videos’ on the Net, most of which he produced himself. He had a number of channels on YouTube with videos showing him praising global jihad and other Al Qaeda goals.
Officers seized several laptop computers, hard discs and memory sticks in a search of his home.
