Autopsy results for Rita Hayworth's grandson


Autopsy results for Rita Hayworth's grandson. The grandson of Hollywood legend Rita Hayworth has been found dead in his New York City apartment. Police say Andrew Embiricos, 25, was discovered at The Grand Chelsea on Sunday evening (December 4, 2011) with a bag over his head, reports Fox News.
Authorities say Andrew was pronounced dead at the scene, but that no crime is suspected. A spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office says the cause of death is still unknown, pending autopsy results. Embiricos was the son of Hayworth's daughter, Yasmin Aga Khan and her economist husband Basil Embiricos. According to the New
York Daily News, the 25-year-old had battled with drug addiction and was known to have attempted suicide on multiple previous occasions. His grandmother, known for a natural beauty and on-screen presence, rose to fame in the 1940s and 1950's, starring in the likes of Cover GirlGilda,
Pal Joey and The Lady From Shanghai. Also a noted dancer, Rita starred in 61 films over a 37 year career and was officially listed as one of the American Film Institute's Greatest Stars Of All Time. She sadly died in 1987 at the age of 68 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
Andrew was a psychology graduate of Fordham University and founded a charity Facebook group that provided clothing to homeless. His LinkedIn page notes that he worked as a sales executive for Virgin Atlantic Airways.
