At least twelve people were killed and several wounded when gunmen attacked a bus with Shiite Muslims in the southwestern province of Baluchistan in Pakistan.
The perpetrators stopped the bus on the outskirts of the city of Quetta and opened fire.
On the bus were mostly hazar-people who were on their way home from Quetta, said Hamid Shakeel by police. Hazar is a Shia Muslim ethnic minority.
Ten of those killed died at the scene, while the last two died in hospital. There were about 20 people in the bus.
Sunni Muslim soldiers who are loyal to al-Qaeda and the Taliban, perform more attacks against members of Pakistan's Shiite minority. In recent months such attacks have been carried out more frequently.
Quetta is the oil capital of Baluchistan, bordering Iran and Afghanistan.
